Online Trading Manager

Location- Leicestershire

Salary £35,000

We have a fantastic opportunity to work for a high end retailer as anOnlineTrading Manager you will be responsible delivering revenue and margin targets for the ecommerce function. You will support in the creation and execution of the commercial trading strategy, manage online lifecycle of products, coordinate online changes and presentation, deliver key business insight and drive improvements through analysis, planning and execution. You will be accountable for best in class site experience, and driving the on-site conversion rate.

  • Achieving ecommerce revenue & margin target
  • Support the budget process and assist in producing the sales forecasts for the online business
  • Own the online trading plan, ensuring it reflects key business activity and communicating out to the Buying and Marketing departments.
  • Accountable for the critical path for delivery of product content. Coordinate with Buying and Merchandising to ensure key timescales are hit.
  • Trade the site - ensure relevant homepage and landing page features; sequencing of product lister pages and deliver a customer navigation in-line with customer requirements
  • Deliver a fantastic on-site search experience, constantly monitoring results and ensuring a great experience for customers.
  • Ensure the online cross-sell and upsell tool is delivering on customer experience and commercial requirements - be the subject matter expert as to what is displayed, when.
  • Manage the outlet site, and ensure it is achieving commercial expectation
  • As appropriate, manage 3rd party relationships as they evolve
  • Show a relentless desire to drive product availability on-line. Ensure the Merchandising team are delivering on their accountability, and that timely and consistent reporting is in place to measure and manage product availability
  • Own all online Trading reporting, provide insight to the business on regarding online performance and product feedback, plus using analysis to drive on-line performance
  • Work closely with Digital Marketing manager to ensure that:-

- Trading requirements are adequately supported by all online Marketing channels - particularly paid search; PLAs and affiliates.

- site content is SEO friendly and that additional content is present, where required

- the email plan reflects key commercial activity

  • Own the Online trading & CX backlog - feeding into the web development process to ensure Commercial changes are represented
  • Coordinate with the off-line Marketing team to ensure key information is required for product placement and all offline activity

Manage MVT / AB testing programme

Knowledge and skills required

  • At least 3 years working within an ecommerce team
  • Experience of managing an Online Trading team
  • Evidence of strong customer focus
  • Strong written, presentation and verbal skills
  • High commercial acumen
  • A customer first attitude
  • Understanding of web technology
  • Experience of owning and communicating a Trading plan
  • Knowledge of analytics packages, including GA
  • Site Merchandising tools, Demandware Business Manager highly desirable
  • Experience of owning on-site search and product cross-sell / upsell tools

Knowledge and skills desirable

  • Experience within a clicks and mortar retailer
  • MVT / AB testing
  • Knowledge of web systems
  • Foundations of SEO
  • Experience of working within high growth ecommerce environment
  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience of working with a fashion / footwear retailer
