Online Psychology Tutor & Psychology Content Developer Roles
Kaplan Open Learning (University of Essex Online) is seeking to add online Psychology tutors and Psychology content developers to its existing pool of experts who can teach and develop content at all levels of study for our undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology programmes. Both roles can be undertaken from home, anywhere in the UK, on a flexible, part-time basis, provided you have access to reliable broadband.
The online Psychology tutor role includes: moderating and grading assignments and discussion forums, providing online webinar sessions, answering queries from students, reviewing module content and liaising with the head of programme to aid the smooth running of the module and support student progression.
The Psychology content developer role involves developing content for our Psychology modules including the design of online teaching materials, recording of audio lectures, identification of appropriate reading, and creating assessments. There will also be opportunity to tutor on the developed module. Full support and training will be provided in close collaboration with the Head of the Programme.
The Online Psychology Tutor & Psychology Content Developerroles offer flexible and remote working with hours that can fit around existing commitments. The role would suit a range of suitably-qualified candidates including university lecturers, online tutors, PhD students nearing completion, industry professionals and part-time or retired academics.
As a minimum, you will hold a master’s degree in a Psychology related subject alongside teaching, research or industrial experience. A PhD in a Psychology related subject and experience of working in an online environment are highly desirable. Confidence with technology and remote working are essential. Although experience of working with a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is desirable, full training and support will be provided.
