CIM is seeking an Online Operations Coordinator to support the Qualifications and Partnerships department to cover maternity leave.

About the role

Working within the Operations Team of the Qualifications and Partnership group, you will support the Operations Manager and Technical Operations Leader in ensuring the smooth running of all Awarding Body operational administration of our online marking system and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Salary: £23,00 per annum.
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Contract type: Maternity cover.
Location: CIM Moor Hall, Cookham, Berkshire.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Operations support

  • Work with the Assessment Leaders in the communication with examiners for each session, and provide sample scripts for standardisation.
  • Update the internal database with attendance registers, and check all marks are accurate when imported.
  • Assist with registering missing scripts and assignments/documents, then liaising and following this up with accredited study/exam centres.
  • Assist the Operations Manager and Operations and Technical Operations Leader regarding any missing marks by contacting examiners.
  • Raise purchase orders and process invoices for examiners as required.

Technical support and development

  • Support the Operations Manager in the development of projects that relate to Awarding Body practices around online delivery.
  • Support the Operations Manager and Technical Operations Leader in the implementation of online marking and any other technology that may be needed in the Awarding Body.

Online marking

  • Coordinate and assist in queries raised with regards to online marking by the study centre network through the Partnerships team.
  • Work closely with the Assessment Leaders to ensure that markers and allocations have been setup as agreed.
  • Enter marks manually as required to correct omissions or errors.

Quality assurance and continuous improvement

  • Assist the Operations Manager and Technical Operations Leader in maintaining all processes as set out for ensuring the quality standards are meet internal and with our regulators.

Managing stakeholders

  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective flow of communication regarding Awarding Body procedures.

For this role you’ll need…


  • Good organisational skills and high level of accuracy with work.
  • High level of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Evidence of good time management skills.
  • GCSE Maths and English at minimum C grade or equivalent.


  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Awarding Body administration procedures.
  • Experience of working with databases.
  • Experience of the post-16 education system, international education environment and assessment methodologies.
  • Educated to A Level standard.

You will also need to be fully proficient with all areas of the database as required by the role – in-house training is provided for this.
