On-Site Technical Coordinator - Residential Development

A Technical Co-ordinator is required to manage and oversee the design and construction process on a range of residential projects, starting with an exciting scheme based in Essex. You will produce, update and coordinate construction detail drawings and manage design flow / information onsite. This will be a site based position reporting into the Project Director.

Duties for the Technical Coordinator:

*Manage external design consultants to produce detailed design packages
*Manage specialist consultants to produce site-specific advice and information
*Ensure all technical and design information complies with the Client's requirements, current Building Regulations etc.
*Ensure design packages are produced with sufficient tender / construction detail.
*Prepare and submit Building Regulation package and co-ordinate full plans approval.
*Audit all design and technical information to ensure accuracy, detail, buildability and value.
*Prepare / issue technically compliant details onsite, for the benefit of the site team.
*Ensure external consultants fulfil responsibilities under CDM Regulations.
*Collate information for Pre-Tender Health & Safety Plan, Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan and collate information for Health & Safety File
*Value Engineering
*Manage drawings onsite
*Issue updated details to sub-contractors / suppliers / consultants.
*Co-ordinate CDP elements of the design and liaise with sub-contractors as necessary.

Skills and experience profile for the Technical Coordinator:

*Degree qualified in Architecture or other relevant qualification.
*AutoCAD qualified.
*Experience on residential projects for a house builder, developer, contractor or private practice.
*Up to date knowledge of building regulations and Warranty Provider standards.
*Confident in own ability to work largely unsupervised.
*Must be self-motivated, proactive and have ability to co-ordinate and lead the design process.

Package for the Technical Coordinator:
Basic salary: £45-55,000
