Office Assistant - Guildford


Our client is seeking an Office Assistant to provide administrative support to the office and act as the first point of contact for visitors. Candidates should possess a positive, outgoing attitude with strong organisational skills.

Job Description

  • Answers phones, transfers call, takes and distributes accurate messages
  • Greet visitors and ensure they receive hospitality and are directed to the appropriate person
  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail/prepare outgoing mail
  • Monitor incoming emails and answer or forward as required
  • Maintain office filing and storage systems
  • Update and maintain databases such as contact lists and employee information
  • Arrange refreshments and lunches for meetings
  • Raise, update and issue purchase orders and approve invoices
  • Assist with event planning and implementation
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies
  • Perform work related errands as requested such as going to the post office and bank
  • Keep office area clean and tidy

Person / Experience Required

  • GCSE grades A to C in English and Maths or equivalent
  • BTEC, NVQ2 or similar in Office/Business Administration would be desirable but not essential
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office and/or Apple Mac software desirable
  • Excellent Verbal and Written skills
  • Good attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Full clean Driving License and own transport required
