Here at Cordant People we are currently recruiting an Office Administrator to join a client of ours in Newport. This role could be Temp to Perm or even a straight up permanent contract for the right person.

To be considered for this role you would need experience with Administration and preferably a support based role where you have assisted staff members out on the road previously.

8:00 - 5:00
Monday - Friday
£20,000-£22,000 (Depending on Experience)

Our client is seeking to employ an experienced and organised administrator to join the company's head office team based in Newport.

The successful candidate will be tasked with a number of administration duties including the support and organisation of field based technicians within the company.


Reporting to company management and directors, the role will involve day to day administration for a particular department alongside other general admin tasks for the company as a whole.

The company are seeking the right applicant with a pro-active and 'can do' attitude who is willing to take ownership of tasks and problem solve where necessary. The right applicant will also be a team player and someone who enjoys working alongside others in small teams.

You will be mainly responsible for assisting the field based technicians with their day to day role through a variety of admin functions including:

  • Fielding enquiries
  • Invoicing & payments
  • Customer liaison
  • Timesheets & payroll support
  • Setting up new contracts
  • Quotes & pricing
  • Managing stock of daily consumables
  • Use and management of company pest control CRM software.

Within the wider admin duties, the successful applicant will be expected to assist other team members in a variety of tasks and will be expected to learn aspects of others roles to provide support. This support may include accounts, typing and marketing, amongst others, as and when required.

Too be considered you must have:

  • This role is for an experienced administrator with a solid background in a wide variety of tasks and ideally experience coordinating field based staff.

  • Experience of Microsoft Office, combined with a strong telephone manner and ability to multi-task and problem solve are essential.

  • Admin experience is essential

  • Experience using Sage or Sales force is beneficial

  • Must be punctual

  • Have great attention to detail
