We are keen to recruit a highly motivated, flexible and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and supportive Copeland Community Rehabiltation team to deliver rehabilitation within a wide range of community settings.
Avoidance of unnecessary admission to acute hospital or and facilitating early discharge from acute hospital is our key role as part of the Integrated Care Community.
The successful applicant will have responsibility for the management of patients with some complex needs, will manage a clinical caseload using an evidence based patient-centred approach to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention and be responsible for supervising Assistant Practitioners and Rehabilitation Assistants and Occupational Therapy students.

Relevant experience and working knowledge of adult conditions and multi-disciplinary team working advantageuous.
The Service is now delivered seven days a week with some extended hours which the successful applicant will be expected to cover as part of a rota system.
Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children therefore if the post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended) the successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:
Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4 = deduction from salary as a one off payment or over 3months at £10 a month
Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4 = deduction from salary as one off payment or £15 deduction from 1st months salary, £11 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
