Nursing Support Assistant

Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home, Tamblin Way, Hatfield, Hertfordshire

£10.23 per hour - New increased pay rate 

36 hours per week - to be worked in 12 hour shifts

Working under the supervision of one of our Registered Nurses, you will play a key role in the lives of our residents. Not only will you deliver care yourself, you will also supervise the delivery of high quality care to our residents as well as administering medications providing you and your team with extensive daily contact with each resident and allowing you to keep the Nurse up to date on vital information about each residents care.

Your duties will involve preparing and monitoring residents care plans, as well as clinical duties such as applying and changing simple dressings, checking blood sugar levels, and catheter care.

A Level 2 Diploma / NVQ/QCF Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care for Adults is essential, as is experience in working with older people. You will also have experience of supervising staff and managing teams as well as writing and keeping care plans updated and maintained.
