Leeds City Council is one of the largest employers in West Yorkshire, with around 33,000 employees based over multiple sites. Reed Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with Leeds City Council providing them with all of their temporary staffing needs.
Reed are currently recruiting (Full and Part Time) temporary nursery workers in a number of Nurseries and Children’s centres covering the following areas, Rothwell, Hunslet, Seacroft, Armley, Cottingley, Osmondthorpe, Bramley, Meanwood, Little London and Holbeck.

Job Description
To provide a stimulating and effective curriculum which will enhance children’s emotional, social, physical and intellectual development. To provide high quality care that meets the professional inspection standards.

Duties include
To provide high quality care for all children and families
To support the provision of a broad and balanced curriculum that will meet the requirements of the relevant national and local standards.
To support the delivery of Individual Educational programmes (IEP) for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Observe, monitor and maintain written records to ensure children’s developmental progress.
To maintain client confidentiality.
To liaise and provide professional advice to parents, social workers and health visitors that are involved with the child.
To liaise with local primary schools and prepare with appropriate support reports that will assist in the child’s transition.
To report any injury or accident ensuring that health and safety of the individual is maintained
To report any suspicious or suspected non-accidental injury to follow and comply with Departmental Child Protection Procedures in line with Area Child Protection Committee (ACPC) guidelines.
To provide interesting and appropriate educational visits for children and families, observing Health and Safety policies and make risk assessments as required.
To support parents and families where necessary in the successful admission and transition of their children
To take responsibility for a group of children during any building evacuation.
To undertake the accountabilities of the post in accordance with Council policies including the Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety policies.

Working Hours will be between Mondays - Friday between 8am - 6pm.The successful candidates will receive a fantastic hourly rate of £8.72 per hour.
