We are currently looking for a Permananent Nursery Cook based in Rubery. This is a Full Time position at 40 hours per week.
As a Nursery Cook you have a responsibility to maintain children’s balanced diet and fresh foods. To ensure the preparation of healthy nutritious and a tasty diet for children, following the specifications set in the Nursery setting for seasonal recipes. Adhering to the Policies & Procedures of the Nursery along with the Food Safety Regulations and in compliance with the Environmental Health-Food Safety to ensure the highest possible Ofsted grading. You will need to ensure high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times and take management of stock control.
The successful Nursery Cook must be able to meet the following criteria:
- Experience working as a Cook in a Childcare/Care Home setting
- Attend meetings as and when required
- Cater for children with allergies
- Food Hygiene Training
- Have good leadership skills as you will be managing a Catering Assistant
The post is subject to an enhanced disclosure (DBS) as well as satisfactory references covering a period of 5 years.
