We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, experienced nurse to join our Upper GI Nurse Specialist team. This is a part time Band 7 post and the successful candidate will work in a job share role with the current Band 7 team lead. The post offers a unique opportunity for candidates with extensive post-registration experience within the speciality to develop and expand their clinical skills, knowledge and experience at a senior level.
As a Band 7 Nurse Specialist in the Upper GI service you will take a lead role facilitating the planning , delivery and evaluation of care pathways of Upper GI patients. You will act as a keyworker and provide a continuous point of contact throughout the treatment pathway.
You will be an expert in your field and support the development of nursing practice. You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and actively assist with service development and improve patient experience based on emerging and best practice models of care which is responsive to patient feedback and audit.
We are looking for someone with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will communicate highly complex, sensitive information with patients and carers .
You will be expected to meet the essential criteria and possess the relevant post registration experience as outlined in the person specification.
This post is 22 Hours 30 Minutes/Week
