Prison Healthcare Service
Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Permanent
Band 7, Salary scale £32,013- £42,205 per annum
We are seeking to recruit a Nurse Psychotherapist to a permanent post working across the 3 NHS Forth Valley Prisons Mental Health Teams. The team currently consists of Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses, Addictions Counsellors, case workers and Clinical Psychologist.
This post presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a developing multidisciplinary psychological therapies service, as well as having strong links with professional nursing structures within the wider service. The post holder will provide direct psychological assessment and intervention to adults with a wide range of presenting problems.
Candidates must possess current registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and be qualified in an evidence-based high intensity psychological intervention e.g. CBT. Experience of working with people who have experienced trauma would also be essential in the role.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
