An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, forward thinking, self-motivated individual to join our busy nursing teams at Ellen Badger Hospital, South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.
Ellen Badger Hospital is a community hospital set within the pretty market town of Shipston on Stour. We are a busy site providing both inpatient and outpatient services. We have a 16 bedded ward providing step up and step down beds, a Day Hospital, Outpatient Clinics and First Aid Centre. Community teams based on site include District Nursing and Health Visiting teams.
As a Nurse you will be caring, compassionate and committed to providing the best service possible to our patients. You will have proven organisational, time management and communication skills and be enthusiastic. You will be a clinical role model and have high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
This position is suitable for both experienced nurses and those who are about to qualify.
At South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust we run a comprehensive Preceptorship program, it is tailored to support those people who have recently joined the register, to assist in their transition from being a student to an accountable practitioner. A preceptor will be available to coach, assist and assess your progress. Preceptorship is about supplying guidance and support throughout the transitional period from student to registered practitioner.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of individuals and expects all staff to share this commitment. As part of our safe recruitment practice, it is a mandatory requirement for all newly appointed staff requiring a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to be registered with the DBS Update Service. All eligible staff recruited to the Trust are expected to maintain their annual update subscription whilst employed with the Trust as a condition of employment. The cost of the first year’s subscription to the update service will be reimbursed by the Trust as a payroll refund.
