NR21317 - Senior Staff Nurse, Ward 112
112 Haematology Inpatients. We provide highly specialised care for patients
with a range of haematological conditions. The care is varied, busy and highly
rewarding with patients receiving high intensity chemotherapy, stem cell
transplantation, supportive and holistic care and acutely unwell unscheduled
care. Staff in this friendly and supportive team develop a wide range of
nursing skills and knowledge. The Anchor Unit as a whole is sociable, fast
moving and progressive; actively supporting and promoting nurse led activities,
development and further study; offering excellent opportunities for both
professional and personal development.
The candidate is required to have a considerable depth and
breadth of post registration nursing experience and knowledge. Whilst some
haematology/oncology experience is desirable it is essential that the
successful candidate can evidence strong nursing leadership skills with the
ability to support the senior nursing team deliver excellence in care and a
supportive learning environment. It is a requirement that the successful
candidate if not currently on the SACT register undertakes a chemotherapy
module at RGU, training, funding and support for this is provided.
