NPI Tooling Engineer

The Company

Our client is an established and successful high-volume manufacturing company based in Cannock. They are currently looking for a NPI Tooling Engineer to join their team. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply as soon as possible.

The Role

  • Experienced Tooling Engineer required to Support the development, procurement and introduction of new tooling, also supporting Customer Engineering Change Requests, cost down improvements & existing Tooling issues within Plant when required.
  • Lead New Tooling procurement
  • Review and complete component feasibility with regards to tooling processes
  • 'A’ Layout reviews
  • Tooling design reviews
  • Lead tool design approval
  • Communication and Presentations, directly with Customers and internal
  • Support introduction of new tooling into Plant/Production, In Plant support when required
  • Escalate issues that could potentially undermine the program
  • Identify and schedule improvement opportunities
  • Identify and schedule improvement opportunities
  • Lead or support Engineering Changes to Die Tooling

The Person

  • HNC / Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Engineering Apprenticeship as a Toolmaker or equivalent
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude towards change, with a willingness to be flexible and adapt to new circumstances.
  • Results driven, with the enthusiasm and resilience to see a job well done through effective ownership.
  • The ability to lead cross functional team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Presswork / Tooling / Toolroom experience
  • A proven background of Tooling knowledge combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
