The Company

Our client is a multi-award winning 1st Tier automotive supplier based in the Cannock. They possess a long history of success, stability, and progression due to the ability to adapt to change and utilise innovative technology to stay ahead of the competition. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a NPI Quality Engineer.

The Role

  • Preparation of customer APQP and PPAP documents
  • Create FMEA’s, Control Plans and internal documentation
  • Create and obtain approval for measurement gauge concept with customer
  • Provide timing for quality milestones and activities for Project timing plan
  • MSA studies on CMM fixtures and gauges
  • Statistical analysis of measurements results from capability studies.
  • Buy-off criteria for the fixtures and gauges from supplier
  • Provide timing for quality milestones and activities for Project timing plan
  • Ensure all fixtures and gauges are entered onto the Calibration system
  • Escalate issues that could potentially undermine the program
  • Component buy-off at tool makers
  • Ensuring Quality milestones are achieved
  • Communication and Presentations, directly with Customers and internal
  • Managing Non ConN/A No Regulatory Requirements

The Person

  • Proven background in successful application of QA techniques supported by excellent problem solving skills
  • Current driving license, as travel to customers and suppliers will be required as and when necessary. Prepared for periods away from home at domestic and foreign customers and suppliers.
  • A proven background of Quality knowledge combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude towards change, with a willingness to be flexible and adapt to new circumstances.
  • The ability to lead cross functional team members.
  • Results driven, with the enthusiasm and resilience to see a job well done through effective ownership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • HNC in Manufacturing or Engineering
  • Quality Assurance Qualification
  • TS16949 Awareness.
