Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Engineering Technician Apprenticeships

Entry Requirements: BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma in an engineering subject or A Levels which include Mathematics and a Science
Salary: starting salary of £19,500 rising to £26,000 in year 3, this is an excellent opportunity to start your NDT career within the Power Generation Sector.
Scheme Length: 3 years
Locations:  Base location will be either Ferrybridge or Swindon

Programme Overview

RWE Generation is dedicated to the development of highly skilled people and providing exciting career opportunities within its portfolio of power generation sites.

The RWE Generation UK NDT Apprentice Programme is a Trailblazer apprenticeship scheme lasting 3 years, in which you will gain a sound understanding of the technical and practical skills required to be one of our highly skilled NDT Engineering Technicians of the future. You will undertake a programme of training and development at some of the UK’s leading power generation plants, external training establishments and at RWE Generation UK’s dedicated Training Academy at Ferrybridge in Yorkshire where you will benefit from the support of experienced power industry professionals and training specialists.

Programme Outline

Non Destructive Testing is an engineering, science-based profession that allows competent engineering inspection staff to examine materials, welds, components and power plant items to verify their integrity without rendering them unfit for further service. Our programme provides a thorough understanding of NDT methods and techniques and their application in the Power Generation sector.

At RWE, we are currently recruiting for Non-Destructive Testing  Engineering Technicians to join our British Institute of Non-Destructive testing accredited Apprenticeship (mapped to Engineering Registration at the EngTech level).
