We are now recruiting for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our Fryers Walk team in Thetford. Our residential service is split into 3 bungalows, 2 flats and 2 cottages, which are home to 31 people (aged 20-80) with a mild to profound and multiple learning disability.
As well as completing domestic duties, you will be supporting with their bed time routine, administering medication, assistance throughout the night, breakfast preparation and assisting with personal care which ranges for each person. There will generally be 4 people on a night shift as well as a floating support.
You will be joining us on permanent basis with full-time contracts available. Shifts are 9pm-8am. You will work 3 nights one week, 4 the next and every other weekend. It is important that you can be flexible to meet the needs of the people we support.
Fryers Walk is a diverse and growing environment with a great team. As we support a number of people, interests and personalities differ which will add variety into your shift.
Working in a service with lots of colleagues around makes this ideal for people who are new to care, as well as people who have experience within a support role. You will also have your manager on site to support you in your work. If you are looking for a role where you can grow and develop then this is the one for you.
An enhanced DBS is required for this role which is paid for by Mencap.
