Solid Recruitment Solutions are proud to be assisting a growing organisation in Worthing recruit for a brand new position of Night Shift Warehouse Operations Manager.
Overview of the Night Shift Warehouse Operations Manager position:
The position is a newly created position and will be responsible for operationally managing the night shift of the warehouse 16:00 - 05:00 Monday - Saturday. Hours of work 40 per week covering through the hours of the operation.
You will have 3 direct reports of Warehouse Supervisors who will manage 2 shifts of 10 warehouse pickers. The operation is fast and as this is a new role the company require someone who has the flexibility to work with the business and adapt accordingly. This is a very excited opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager/Deputy Manager who is looking for that next challenge.
There will be a large investment of training for the lucky candidate for the position as the business wants to invest in the person on a long term basis.
Package for the Night Shift Warehouse Operations Manager
Salary - Up to £40,000 per annum
Benefits - private health care, staff discount, company pension, dental, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
·All Routes and Delivery drops are picked, checked and loaded to Company standard.
·All paperwork is filled in correctly.
·Service Excellence is maintained and promoted amongst all shift members.
·Training as required is carried out for the night shift team e.g:
·Health & Safety
·Fire Marshal / Warden
·Develop team to include job cover during holiday/sickness, be responsible for holiday booking of night shift.
·Motivate night shift team, to include period team briefings and realistic target setting.
·Ensure that housekeeping standards on the night shift are maintained and any infestations e.g: Rodents are reported to the Site Excellence Manager.
·Control damages to stock by realistic and measurable target setting, and bench marking of other depots.
·Ensure all Audit procedures are adhered to.
·Control damages to racking by correct training and monitoring of MHE use.
·Ensure that all paperwork relating to both inward and outward sub/cross checking is completed correctly.
·To ensure that all operatives are of a clean and tidy appearance and wearing uniform/protective clothing.
·Fire Drill/Alarm set up.
·Security and locking up of the premises.
·Logging and returning security/pilfering forms.
Requirements of the position:
·Experience of working within a warehouse environment ideally FMCG
·IOSHH qualified or equivalent
·Previous management/ supervisory experience
·Excellent IT skills
·Proven planning and cost management capabilities
·Passionate about what they do
·Flexible with tasks given and can adapt and contribute to change
·Takes pride in what they do and seeks news challenges to improve themselves and their team
