KNOW THE ROLE
As part of a team of rotating supervisors, you’ll manage a busy and challenging night operation with a multitude of incidents. You’ll work to prevent and detect internal and external loss across the business. The role is focused on delivering a world class night security operation and service whilst managing incidents and ensuring the safety and security of the building and those within.
Using your calm and diplomatic nature, you’ll also be on hand to quickly resolve any queries or complaints that our customers may have. And you’ll do it all while maintaining Selfridges’ renowned levels of service excellence.
KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll be considered a strong character and an expert in your field having had experience in a similar role or environment. You’ll have excellent people skills and knowledge of the law and current legislation. You’ll possess the ability to remain calm under pressure and confident when dealing with incidents. You must have excellent attention to detail and be able to detect theft and loss across the business. You must have the ability to work with and manage a large, close knit team.

You’ll need to be exceptionally flexible and have the ability to multi task. You’ll be required to create accurate reports so an eye for detail is key. As well as having the ability to work well as part of a team, you’ll be willing to embrace opportunities to build your impeccable security skills in order to offer quality and reassurance to all of our customers.
With proven supervisory experience gained in a security environment, you’ll lead by example in what is often a fast-paced and vibrant environment. Your professional nature will mean that you are expert in handling tough problems and situations through your natural ability to communicate effectively, and with a confident understanding of Retail Operations, you’ll also be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong relationship management skills.
