We have an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team in a recently opened, modern nursing home environment located in the historic mill town of Congleton and the delightful village of Astbury, in the heart of East Cheshire. Whilst only a few minutes drive from the centre of town, the home enjoys a leafy setting adjacent to the natural open beauty of Astbury Mere Country Park. This home is also less than 20 minutes away from Biddulph, Kidsgrove and Sandbach.
Recently opened in 2010, this purpose built home provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home. The position available is a night nurse manager position, equivalent to a senior nurse / band 6, on full time hours (42 hours), and come with an excellent benefits package, including having their own full time in house trainer to provide exceptional training opportunities.
Job Description: As a Night Nurse manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the home is fully functional on the night shifts, helping with staff appraisals, supervision and managing a team of senior care staff throughout this shift. You will ensure patients in your care are treated as individuals, allowing them to live independent, fulfilling lives. You will undertake all aspects of nursing care including administering medication, updating and writing care plans, as well as supervising junior members of staff and maintaining good communication to all members of staff.
Person Specification: You must be a qualified Registered Nurse to apply for this role, and we will accept applications from nurses of any specialism (General Nurses ( RGN ), Mental Health Nurses ( RMN ), or Learning Disability Nurses ( RNLD )). You must have a valid NMC pin to apply for this role.
