Our client in close to Lutterworth seeks a Night Manager to take full responsibility in ensuring that the Hotel facilities are manned and secure overnight

This is a very important role within the Hotel structure and carries great responsibility as you will required to deal with all "overnight" tasks and deal with them in a structured & professional manner.

Hotel experience from within a similar role is required

Main Responsibilities

To manage setting, clearing and cleaning of all conference rooms to agreed standard (moving furniture in and out of the room)

To manage setting of private dinners and weddings to agreed standard (moving furniture in and out of the room)

Ensure security of hotel is maintained throughout the night (completing walk rounds)

Cleanliness of hotel is of the highest standard at all times (general tidying, hovering, dusting etc)

Looking after delegates and all guests within the hotel

Present a welcoming impression to all guests

Providing 24 hour room service (preparing food, delivering and clearing room service trays)

Providing 24 hour Reception Duties (checking in, out, assistance with luggage etc)

Ensuring wake-up calls and newspapers are delivered on time

To recruit, train and develop departmental staff

To complete the rota and monitor timesheets

Manage the team in terms of monitoring absence, performance, training etc

Other Responsibilities

To maintain hygiene standards in areas of responsibility

To maintain a high level of customer care throughout the department

To carry out Duty Management shifts during the night

Financial Targets/Cost Awareness

To control and manage to an agreed budget

To check departmental rotas in line with business

Training Responsibilities

Recruit, select and train direct reports and maintain individual training records

Support other departmental training as required

Provide opportunities for personal and team development

Emergency Responsibilities

Fire evacuation procedures - statutory obligations in line with company policies

Other Responsibilities

Interact with other members of Management Team and support where appropriate

To act as a main point of contact for any customer complaints and ensure correct handling

Experience Required :

Ideally from a similar Hotel background with a good knowledge of Front Of House / Night & Security Procedures supported by recent references

You may be in a similar role and now looking to develop your skills further within this quality property
