As a Nurse (or Paramedic)Floorwalker you will play a vital part in the National Pandemic Flu Service (NPFS). The NPFS provides telephone assessments for UK Citizens from several of our supplier call centres across the country and is being used to support the Covid 19 response. Each centre will employ agents that are new to the NPFS, who will have been trained to take calls from members of the public and assess the patient using a system based on the 111 Coronavirus App.

The role is designed to help and support the call centre agents when they need additional clinical guidance whilst they complete their telephone assessment. You will help to reduce the number of calls being transferred out to our 111 and 999 Call Centres by using your clinical judgement.

Call centers available: Airdrie, Ashby De La Zouch, Bangor (NI), Gateshead, Glasgow, Newcastle, Newry (NI), Preston, and Plymouth.

You will be a part of the multi-disciplinary team in each call centre providing quality, evidence-based health care advice to meet the immediate needs of the patient.

You will be visible in the call centre by floor walking duties, answering any clinical questions that the agents or team leaders may have.

You need to be a good communicator with an excellent telephone manner. It is essential that you are computer literate and keen to learn new skills. You must be passionate about high quality patient care and be caring and able to remain calm under pressure. You will also need to have a high degree of self-confidence to reach your own clinical conclusions.
