To oversee the Investment Operations teams (teams and responsibilities listed below) and contribute, as required, to ensure smooth operational efficiency at Newton.
Trade Administration: trade confirmation and settlement instruction, failed trade management, derivatives administration, research into new markets, co-ordination / completion of legal documentation (e.g. ISDA) and cash flow management.
Portfolio Administration: corporate event processing (corporate actions & income), reconciliations, proxy voting administration, management / performance fee administration and regulatory reporting.
Project Support: oversight of operational projects, support and co-ordination for the strategic investment accounting system replacement project.
To manage the Data Management function covering security set-up and on-going maintenance and pricing.
To ensure appropriate oversight of all vendor relationships owned by Investment Operations.
To keep up to date with regulatory changes impacting Investment Operations.
To undertake specific projects as requested by the Head of Investment Operations and Investment Services and/or the Head of Operations.
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively follow-up and resolve matters
- Extensive experience and general knowledge of investing, fund accounting, trust operations and investment regulations required.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, proven excellent oral and written communication skills and quantitative skills.
- Graduate degree degree in business, economics or similar advanced degree desired.
