Newly Qualified Science Teacher Specification
For this post, you must be a capable Newly Qualified Science Teacher who has been recognised as a 'Good' or better teacher in recent observations and is able to show good knowledge of the curriculum. We want to meet teachers who can show excellent organisational and communication skills and be a team player that can work independently. You will have the ability to tackle and explain difficult and challenging subject matter and engage your students. The school wants to see teachers who have a calm, pragmatic approach to challenging or difficult behaviour and the level head to manage it effectively in the classroom.
About the Newly Qualified Science Teacher Role
At this expanding school, as a Newly Qualified Science Teacher you will be joining the school as part of the high-attaining Science faculty. Your duties will include gaining new skills and receiving ample support from a CPD scheme that has been designed specifically for graduates in your position . The additional responsibilities of Mentor are available as part of this role if required. Support is always available from the dynamic team of full-time supporting staff including the annually recruited graduate TAs. With some superb resources and a great faculty, the Science Department is a large and thriving department within the school.
