Our client is a dedicated independent services company actively seeking a Workshop Manager to be responsible for vehicle conversions at their operation in Hessay in North Yorkshire.
The Workshop Manager role is a highly responsible, varied and rewarding opportunity that would be an ideal move for a highly experienced manager ideally from a fleet management or similar commercial environment or a desire to move into this industry sector.
Reporting to the Operations Director you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the technical facility and a summary of the duties involved appear below:-
Responsible for the work, development and training of all employees within the workshop function.
Completion of all job related documentation
Quality check process
Control of parts stock and all equipment
Authorise purchase orders
Ensure efficiency and utilisation of the facility
Maintaining supplier relationships
Reviewing on-going performance
Ensure customer contract performance is achieved
Prevent fraud and minimise risk
Taking customer feedback and resolving any issues
Management reporting & business analysis
Health & safety
Provide technical support to areas of Sales, Account Management & Workshop Support
Monitor and mentor members of your team
to ensure that the Contract and all its obligations run as efficiently as possible. In addition you will be required to develop relationships with key contacts and act on business opportunities that present themselves as well as ensure that the workshop produces work turnover as proficiently as possible ensuring that risk and fraud are reduced to an absolute minimum.
