New exciting opportunity for a Principal Consultant (SoW) with REED

Reed are recruiting for a brand new exciting opportunity for a Principle Consultant. This will be a client facing role that will be tasked with developing new business leads for consultancy and Statement or Work (SoW) projects. You will be working in vertical markets (mainly IT, HR and Public Sector) and the role will seek to engage existing clients and new clients to unearth opportunities to deliver services and consultancy projects.

Base Location: central London
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience plus £4,000 inner London weighting (if applicable) plus excellent bonus earning potential with a minimum of around £50k OTE in your first year
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Reporting to: Consulting and Solutions Director

What the role looks like:

Your role will primarily be based on generating new business leads for our consultancy and SoW business. This will be done by developing new relationships with heads of business that may have requirements for outsourced projects, working with account managers to understand where opportunities may lie and engaging with our senior contractor pool to gain market intelligence about upcoming project requirements.

You will also be responsible for undertaking assessment questionnaires with all new business leads, translating their requirements into a scoping document whilst working with sourcing teams to identify the right skills to deploy to a project from with our consultancy talent bank.

What makes a good Principal Consultant?

We are looking for someone that is confident and credible in front of clients, has good business development/sales experience in recruitment, and you will need to at least have an understanding of consultancy/SoW business.

You will also ideally have experience of selling or scoping volume projects requiring high levels of semi-skilled resource (compliance, complaints, customer services etc.) or experience in selling or scoping outsourced IT projects. Individuals with demonstrable evidence of dealing with senior level contacts within the public sector would be desirable. Project management experience is preferred but not essential.
