We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join a growth market research client in Basingstoke.

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving specific sales targets. The main responsibilities of this role include:
New Business Development - Developing a strong pipeline to hit and exceed sales targets. Sales of ad hoc reports, annual subscriptions and consultancy services will primarily be made by telephone, with occasional field trips and conference engagements.
CRM Management & Reporting - Building and maintaining a full pipeline of leads and opportunities, for sales campaigns and target accounts. You will provide weekly KPI reports and monthly forecast projections from your pipeline to Management.
Team Goals - As a member of the team you will Working with the Marketing and Analyst teams to achieve team and company goals. You will contribute to the annual sales plan, detailing new business strategies and resource requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:-
Experience of developing and closing new B2B sales over the telephone, consistently meeting sales targets.
Experience of engaging with high level decision makers, ranging from Directors and Heads of Departments to C-level Executives.
Experience of selling in the financial, media and telecommunications sectors would be an advantage.
High level analytical and numerical skills.
IT and web literate, with a minimum of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
CRM experience, ideally with Salesforce.
A quick learner, who is motivated, pro-active and organised.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at a senior level.
An enthusiastic and friendly team player.
