My client is a UK based, leading trade only supplier of top brand hair and beauty products, electrical items, equipment and furniture who can cater for all professional salon needs. Their branches stock and sell all the leading brands within the hair and beauty sectors and are now looking to expand their field sales team into a brand new territory!

As a New Business Development Manager your role will be to achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying opportunities to maximise profitable sales and distribution of products. You will do this through developing business with new customers, enhancing the profile and image of the company’s products and building relationships with existing customers, particularly those in category A and B and Premier Professional Salons.

You will need to have a minimum of 2 years working in Field Sales, with a track record of identifiable successes in the same industry, or similar industry sectors, being: FMCG, beauty, health and fashion. You will need to cope with a variety of sales business cultures and personalities, In return, the basic salary will be around £24,000 with an UNCAPPED bonus - the top sales people are earning in excess of £50k+ a year OTE!

Your key responsibilities will include:

- To grow and develop your geographical territory (LS and HG post codes)

- Consistently basing all appointments on a structure to achieve pre-agreed targets

- Exclusive territory management

- Building and maintaining established relations within all existing and new salons

- Building up a brand new territory with an exciting launch of a new product line within an established brand

This is very much a business consultation role, you will be required to give the salon advice on improving their retail sales.
