New Business Administrator

A role as New Business Administrator has come up in the New Business department at Hargreaves Lansdown.

Joining one of the most progressive teams within Hargreaves Lansdown, you will become part of the business area responsible for investing clients’ money and assets within the flagship HL Vantage Service.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:

As we are regulated by the FCA, a number of our business processes within the New Business department are time sensitive and do need to prioritised above others. It will be your responsibility to determine which of these functions must be completed before moving on to the next. Your day to day role will be varied; all of the teams in the department have a wide range of duties and you will be required to actively upskill. We also expect our employees to be looking to further their knowledge of the business and industry whenever the chance presents itself.

Your responsibilities will vary depending on business volumes, but will typically include a range of administrative functions; checking applications, data entry, liaising with clients and third parties via telephone and email and speaking to many other teams across the wider New Business department. We always strive to provide excellent customer service to our clients and you will be integral to delivering this, whilst suggesting methods in which we can improve and innovate as a business.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • A Levels or equivalent
  • Maths and English GCSE grade C and above
  • Willing to learn new skills
  • Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Can communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Team player
  • Fantastic attention to detail
  • Organised
  • Takes pride in their work
  • Flexible

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • A Levels at grade B and above
  • Some financial services knowledge would be advantageous
  • Customer service
  • Can identify problems and suggest solutions
  • Prepared to go the extra mile
