Network Virtualisation Cloud Automation Architect

Location: Newbury / Paddington

What you will do:

Define and deliver Global Cloud and Technical Architecture’s in accordance with the Vodafone network cloud strategy with a particular focus on automation capabilities, technologies and strategy.

You will engage with different stakeholders to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, design reliable and cost-effective hybrid cloud solutions and support the development of business cases to justify the programs.

Provide Vodafone with Technical Authority leadership within the local markets and Group Functions, engaging with key internal stakeholders and broader industry through close strategic vendor relationships and industry standards setting bodies.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing the Network Cloud Architecture, reaching the milestones along the Network Cloud Roadmap

  • Tracking the implementations of network cloud and orchestration across Vodafone and adapt architecture to match, providing guidance and support to implementation teams

  • Successful deployment of network functions within the cloud architecture

About you:

To excel in this role, you will have a proven track record of implementing cloud based services and environments leveraging automation technologies to manage element lifecycle and assurance.

Have experience with Automation platforms (e.g ONAP, Kubernetes as well as Openstack based and VMWare platforms.
