Network Content Protection Development Engineer

The role is working in a newly established team within this amazingly innovative company. You will be responsible for improving content protection efforts using technology

Your key responsibilities

This role is developing the technical infrastructure to gain automated, actionable insight into piracy on the companies network

  • Drive development of solutions to process large amounts of data in support of anti-piracy efforts
  • Analyse the inner workings of the infrastructure that is used to illegally deliver content, in particular live streaming
  • Build and use lab to gain further knowledge of the infrastructure and clients
  • Design, develop and build scalable solutions to process data and take action in relation to anti-piracy

Your skills

  • Working knowledge of IGPs (OSPF/ISIS) and global BGP
  • Very good understanding how an ISP works technically
  • Good understanding of the principles of video delivery, from clients through network to origins
  • Analysis of IP packet captures
  • Netflow knowledge is a plus
  • SQL necessary; BigQuery is an advantage
  • Understanding of statistical methods is a significant advantage
  • Programming / scripting is a must
  • Experience with commonly used data visualisation tools desired (such as D3.js, MatPlotLib or Ggplot)
  • DNS
  • Building UNIX systems is a modern way (VM, containers, automated configuration management).
