A C# .Net experienced ecommerce web developer is required to work on a suite of B2C and B2B websites selling travel/leisure products and group meals.
The successful candidate will be the sole in house developer working on the existing websites and will be responsible for on-going maintenance as well as future developments of the following websites.
It is essential the candidate be up to speed with the technologies required and be totally confident in self training on the site architecture and code with only one other off site developer in Belarus( who has a good understanding of the business and of the internal/back office systems)
As well as the technology skills required, a good common sense approach of how to apply technology to business is essential - understanding the business will be just as important as developing the technology
The in-house systems contain a bespoke CMS for publishing multiple websites. Further development will be mainly travel/e-commerce related, but there will also be some development of the CMS (web based) as well as development of back office functions (winforms)
The attraction of the role for a developer is the chance to take ownership of an entire ecommerce platform and other websites and move them forward.
The essential skill-set required is:
C# & asp.net - 4+ years
.NET Framework 3.5 (migrating to 4.6 over the next few months)
MS Visual Studio 2008/2012
MS SQL Server 2008/2012, stored procedures and DB design
C# Winforms development
IIS configuration and website deployment
The candidate will be working in the company offices in, Kent which can be reached by train
The role will be alongside three other technical staff - the IT Manager (also a c# winforms developer), a systems/infrastructure manager and an offsite C# developer (Belarus).
The company employs around 30 people depending on the season.
