Our client is a leading Housing Association based in East Norwich.

They currently need a temporary Neighbourhood Officer until June 2018, possibly longer,

You must be a driver.

Role and Key Skills:
Communicates fluently and is able to present complex technical information to a non-
technical audience
Plans, schedules & monitors work to meet deadlines and other requirements (financial,
legislative etc.)
Keeps up to date with developments in their technical or professional area of expertise
Performs a wide variety of complex technical or professional work activities in a variety of contexts
Has defined areas of responsibility
Due to experience gained may provide guidance to & resolve issues raised by less
experienced staff
Produces non-standard letters or reports
Has a thorough understanding of their professional area and how it fits within their business
May supervise work of others on a day-to-day basis
To lead on the delivery of quality consistent and pro-active housing and tenancy management services to a range of tenure types with a view to supporting and strengthening sustainable communities.
To be the lead local contact for a geographical patch ensuring decisions at a local level are focussed on the customer and core service delivery.
Lead on delivery of an effective and compliant housing service incorporating all matters of
tenancy letting, tenancy management and enforcement
Lead on patch and property inspections to ensure they are well maintained and managed,
present a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors, and are in line with
neighbourhood management policy
Deliver an end to end anti –social behaviour investigation and resolution service for customers
and other stakeholders, leading on building and maintaining positive and effective
partnerships with other bodies and agencies
Represent the Association in court, litigation, tribunal or other proceedings
Achieve timely turnaround of empty properties within key KPI targets Lead on ensuring all
properties are re-let promptly ensuring all sign ups and post tenancy contact are completed to achieve customer satisfaction targets and upper quartile re let performance
Work collaboratively with the Sales and Marketing and Development teams to ensure a high quality seamless service delivery to all customers moving in to new homes
Be responsible for maintaining strong void property turnaround KPI’s working with colleagues from allocations and income teams to minimise void and income loss
Able to manage a variety of tasks and prioritise work according to key performance areas,
While maintaining a practical focus on outcomes for the customer and the potential for service improvement
Good knowledge of law and best practice as it relates to the provision of housing services including safeguarding
Ensure that all activities are within budgetary constraints, including estate service charges and regularly monitor expenditure drawing any over spend to the attention of the Regional Service Charge team
Educated to “GCSE” level standard or equivalent
