£45-50K DOE

+ Uncapped Commission (OTE Y1 = c70K)

The Company:

Our client is one of the market leaders in their industry; their core business is the hire of specialist welfare units/vehicles and powered access equipment which they hire in to markets such as Civil Engineering, Utilities, Construction and Local Authorities. The group have been successfully trading for ten years now and believe their continued success is largely due to their team of industry specialists, their knowledge of the sectors they supply in to and the ability to understand and deliver what their customers require, time and time again, without fail. The company can also boast rapid growth over the recent years and are expanding into new markets and products, to help facilitate this they are moving in to new, state of the art premises.

Job Overview:

You will be responsible for the development of new business opportunities throughout the UK as well as managing relationships with existing customers and introducing the latest, innovate product that our client is trying to promote - Tower Lights (LED Flood lights with hybrid technology); ensuring that all opportunities are explored through market research, route to market analysis and regular communications with contacts in specific target industries; also promoting welfare units where ever possible on the back of the lighting-sales opportunities. This role also offers the opportunity for promotion to Directorship of its own division in time for the right person.


  • Cold calling to arrange face to face meetings to discuss service and delivery options with Procurement/Sustainability Teams, Plant/H&S Managers and Business Owners
  • Travelling the width and breath of the UK with effective diary management
  • Researching specific target markets/industries such infrastructure based businesses, oil refineries, airports & construction companies that would benefit from using both welfare and Tower lights
  • Staying abreast of new construction/civil engineering projects that could offer up an opportunity to introduce the company’s products and services
  • Ensuring new business contracts are profitable and financially viable long-term
  • Managing accounts to optimise spend and repeat business

Requirements to Fulfil the Role:

  • A stable background in B2B sales in the field
  • Experience selling in to similar target industries is preferential
  • Possess a full UK driving license & have good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Live in the Central Region of the UK
  • Experience of the full sales cycle at a Senior level working on National Sales Agreements
  • Account Management experience
  • Confident and impeccably presented
  • Possess excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority, from builders to CEOs
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Good IT skills, specifically use of the Internet for research purposes and Excel

Additional Info:

  • Monday to Friday working week, 33 days holiday inc. stats, Contributory Pension with immediate effect
  • Commission paid per unit on hire, details to be discussed at interview stage
