The Requirements of the National Sales Manager:

  • To be considered for the National Sales Manager role you must have proven Sales & Sales Management experience (5 years +) working within the medical devices sector and ideally in orthopaedics
  • You must be fluent in Danish, spoken Swedish and Norwegian preferable, English is also essential to a high level if not fluent ideally
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a life science related subject e.g. Sports Science/Medicine, Physiology, Biomedical Science etc or a business-related degree e.g. Business Management
  • Have the ability to travel on a National basis throughout Denmark and within Sweden & Norway to support & mentor your sales team in the Nordic region
  • Be able to effectively plan and execute to a defined sales strategy.
  • Ability to work within budget constraints
  • Read, analyse and interpret regulations, technical standards, guidance documents, test reports, clinical and medical terminology, technical product information and complex documents.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Outlook
  • 5+ years’ experience in the regulatory field or regulated industry
  • Extensive knowledge of European Regulations and applicable standards required

The Responsibilities of the National Sales Manager:

  • The National Sales Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing and directing the sales activities of the company in a designated area to achieve sales objectives as specified
  • The role has a dual purpose; firstly, to undertake effective Sales Management of a small team across the Nordics region, and secondly to take responsibility as the dedicated Sales Representative for Denmark to drive sales across the Danish territory
  • As such this role will have accountability through personal endeavour for achieving the sales objectives for the Danish territory and for managing, coaching and co-travelling with the team members in Sweden and Norway to the prescribed sales targets in those geographies
  • You will work in cooperation with the Cluster Director and Cluster Marketing manager to establish comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, define appropriate budgets and medical education plans
  • Appraise and evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and report these results formally each month
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders both within Denmark and the wider geography
  • Builds an engaged workforce and establish a plan for continuous staff development
  • Conduct business activities in compliance with ethics and legal requirements
  • Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
