National Logistics Project Manager (Paragon)

Interim - 12 Months

National Based Role, Location - Flexible

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to act as a project manager delivering the development of a Paragon planning system across 18 national depots and 400 x vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare Transport Assessments and Route Plans in consultation with Directors
  • Oversee and conduct training on route planning software (Paragon) across all depots
  • Improve routes across 18 x depots using a computerised route planning software (Paragon)
  • Increase driver productivity and drive forward transport operations nationally
  • Improve efficiency and productivity across multiple distribution functions
  • Take day-to-day responsibility to lead a varied workload of projects, supervising colleagues, project managing, ensuring achievement of financial goals and contributing strongly to the technical content and delivery
  • Manage Project Team & coordinate internal resources
  • Delivering site infrastructure change programmes in line with agreed business cases and time
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget lines
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Management of logistics projects
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Paragon route planning experience (essential)
  • Paragon super user (desirable)
  • A Logistics Distribution and transport route planning background
  • A proven record of implementing and training Paragon route planning across a national business
  • Proven experience within the Pharmaceutical, FMCG industry is desirable but not essential
  • Have worked within a Project role within a distribution and logistics operation
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude Ability to evaluate processes and understand where change can improve efficiency within a distribution and route planning set up
  • You should have excellent inter personal skills be able to communicate at all levels professionally and discreetly
  • Analytical with the ability to align development plans to short and longer term objectives
  • You must have the energy, determination and commitment to operate in an environment where regular customer contact and scrutiny is the norm and effective customer communication is essential
