National Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP) Manager

The NDDP Manager will be responsible for:

- Contract delivery and performance in an area, including achieving target referral volumes for the service

- Day to day engagement activities with local stakeholder groups

- Managing a remote team, including ensuring team is compliant with necessary training and any registration requirements

- Reporting on the core metrics of the programme

You will work with colleagues where required to ensure the successful delivery of the NDPP to expected outcomes.

  • Manage a multi disciplinary team against agreed KPIs
  • Line management of team members, including all aspects of People Management


  • Day-to-day engagement with local stakeholders, including General Practitioners, practice nurses, diabetic specialist nurses/teams and allied health professionals as required
  • Able to present and explain the NDPP to healthcare professionals as required
  • Collate participants feedback and complaints of the NDPP in each area

Work with other local prevention services and community services to inform them of the NDPP, and acts an outreach point for the NDPP service on a local management level as required

  • Strong influencing and relationship management skills
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of literacy and numeracy
  • Good IT Skills, including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver against a number of priorities without compromising on the quality of delivery
  • Able to work flexibly and under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
