National Customer Service Manager

My client, a specialist environmental solutions provider, are looking for a proven and experienced National Customer Manager to lead and manage their internal customer service team consisting of Customer Service Advisors, and back-office staff.

You will be tasked with:

  • To lead and manage the internal customer service department - Team meetings, setting objectives, managing KPIs, regular performance management and appraisals
  • To lead from the front - motivating, coaching and developing the team
  • Analysing processes and making improvements
  • Maintaining close relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Acting as the most senior point of escalation for all internal service based issues
  • Managing the staff in line with HR policies and procedures
  • Ensuring all invoicing is carried out and aiming to continuously improve all service level related targets
  • Reporting to senior levels of management and the board

Essential skills required:

  • Previous experience of managing an internal customer service department is essential
  • SAP knowledge is critical
  • Excellent motivational skills
  • Environmental solutions, waste management, chemical industry experience is preferred but all industry backgrounds will be considered
  • Strong analytical skills are required - the ability to improve processes is preferred
  • The ability to work self-sufficiently
  • Strong leadership skills

The basic salary for this role will be negotiable based on experience

25 days holiday + bank holidays

Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 17:00
