Our client an award winning FMCG has an excellent opportunity for a bright and driven National Account Manager to join their Sales team. As the National Account Manager you will report directly into the Sales Director, taking sole responsibility for managing and growing the sales across new and existing accounts. You will be responsible for building and maintaining fundamental customer relationships and this role would be ideal for an established account manager who is looking to step into a senior position. You will be given the opportunity to build a credible and long-term career within the business.

Responsibilities to include;

  • Building and managing strong relationships
  • Employing innovative sales solutions to deliver value and exceed targets
  • Working closely with the Supply Chain team through forecasting and delivery
  • Working with the Category Insight Manager reporting on the latest developments and trends within the category
  • Compiling commercial presentations to present to the individual customers


  • 3+ years sales experience within the commercial retail sector
  • Strong preference for a food industry background although other FMCG products will be considered
  • Previous exposure of working with/managing UK retailers


  • Proven ability to win new business
  • Hands on account management and ability to manage other team members
  • Ability to influence and negotiate in a confident manner, always maintaining a clear commitment to delivering business results
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Collaborative approach

In return you will receive excellent remuneration with a base salary of £40k - £65k + a 25% bonus based on sales.
