National Account Manager

Location: Runcorn

£40,000 - £42,000 + Company Car and Benefits

Are you looking to work for a global manufacturing organisation that operates within the FMCG industry?

We currently have an amazing opportunity to work for a leading manufacturing company where you will be responsible for managing key clients which include the top 10 UK retailers.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

  • You will be office based building and maintain relationships with your portfolio of clients with occasional client visits
  • Responsible for maximising sales for portfolio of accounts
  • Internal and external negotiations to achieve best cost price
  • Responsible for agreeing set promotional activity with major accounts
  • Responsible for implementation of new private label customer requirements
  • Weekly analysis of major account EPOS data
  • Vendor stock management
  • Setting and agreeing account budgets
  • Monitoring of competitor activity
  • Provide accurate forecasts against all products within major accounts
  • Responsible for developing relationships with key personnel within each major multiple and supply chain
  • Demonstrate excellent customer care and delight customers by meeting and exceeding service level targets
  • Seek opportunities to develop new business in line with sales team objectives
  • Maintain regular close liaison with customer service personnel and involve them with major accounts
  • Responsible for selling, controlling and minimizing obsolete stock and moving lines

Requirements;

  • Experience within the FMCG industry
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with key decision makers
  • High level of numeracy, literacy and attention to details
  • Enthusiastic and self motivated
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Good negotiator - great selling and business development skills
