Our client is indigenous to Donegal, and a family owned business, who have been in operation for over 40 years. They are an integral part of the local community and one of the main employers in the local area. They have been making and continue to make original produce since the founding of the Company.
They are a very customer and product focused business with a flat management structure and a “Hands On” approach from MD to shop floor. As a result, all members of the team have a deep understanding of the business and capabilities. This allows a great deal of flexibility and fast decision making which has led to their “Nothing is impossible” attitude.
They are looking for a National Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with their customers.

The purpose of the Role:
As National Account Manager you will take ownership of customer relationships including; planning, forecasting and on-going development of our branded and private label portfolio with major retailers in ROI and the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed understanding of the customer base.
Sell and negotiate each activity, event or initiative, to deliver the Joint Business Plan and the business objectives for the customer.
Be a Key influencer to our ongoing channel and brand planning cycle.
Actively manage national accounts to achieve agreed targets.
Develop detailed understanding of the customer base.
Become the “Go To” person for our key customers.
Sell and negotiate each activity, event or initiative, to deliver the Joint Business Plan and the business objectives for each customer.
Develop and negotiate annual joint business plans with key customers.
Liaise relevant managers when developing quarterly action plans & category plans for customers that are in conjunction with company strategy.
Report on the sales, profitability and account initiatives.
Liaise with supply chain regarding forecast planning.
Manage costs effectively.
Develop a relationship with members of the relevant customer teams.
Proactively liaise and co-ordinate with production, finance, administration, Q.C. and marketing.
Operate as a team player and positively contribute to the development of the business.

A passion for the food industry.
3rd Level Qualification.
Minimum 3 years commercial FMCG experience with key multiples.
Excellent communication skills with excellent presentational skills.
Strong numeric & Commercial acumen.
Very proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
