National Account Manager - Foodservice

The client that we are working with are one of the UK’s fastest growing and well respected ambient food businesses within the UK. This is an organisation that has seen consistent growth year on year and following this the business is now looking to recruit a Foodservice National Account Manager into their already high performing commercial division, to manage an agreed portfolio of Foodservice customers.
As National Account Manager you will be expected to professionally and effectively manage an agreed portfolio of foodservice customers within the buying groups and within the independent sector. You will be expected to maximise sales and account profitability, building long term relationships whilst also ensuring high levels of customer care and satisfaction. You will be expected to achieve sales and margin targets in line with company strategy, identifying all new business opportunities and devising proposals including the preparation of tenders to ensure achievement of agreed margins and targeted profitability. Reporting to the Company Directors, you will be expected to work autonomously, preparing budgets and forecasts as required and liaising with head office on a regular basis.
To be considered for this role you must be an experienced National Account Manager with experience working within the areas defined above. In addition you must be a tenacious, resilient and dynamic individual with a proven track record of growing and developing key foodservice accounts. The successful candidate will have great relationship management skills and have the gravitas to influence customers at a senior level. As for product background, candidates with an ambient, chilled or frozen background will all be considered.
