We are currently seeking to employ Multi skilled Engineers on various shift patterns. As a Multi Skilled Engineer you will ensure that production targets are met using the appropriate technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of technical problems. Through continuous improvement, drive the move from a “repair culture” to an “improvement culture”, enhancing equipment performance and reliability by developing technical skills and knowledge.

Who are we looking for? You will be able to demonstrate a good positive and pro active attitude at all times demonstrating a desire to reach Technician status. You will demonstrate a clear team work ethos within the department and across all other departments. You will be able to promote, encourage and fully implement safety measures and working practices throughout the site. It is important that you ensure all work is carried out to specification and that food safety and environmental standards are met. You will be an individual that has excellent timekeeping and attendance.

As a Multi skilled engineer you be asked to provide technical support in response to breakdowns on process and IT systems, plant and equipment, including good fault finding techniques. You will need to deliver electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site on all equipment. you will need to have knowledge of PLCs and controls, invertors and drives.

We are looking for an individual that is able to respond promptly and effectively to ensure quick resolution to any equipment issues to minimise any downtime, quality and efficiency problems. Someone who is able to participate constructively as a member of the department, keeping everyone informed and proactively share your knowledge and expertise within the team. You will be used to Coaching and training staff where appropriate.

We would want an individual who is able to apply lean thinking techniques to ensure the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved thus demonstrating commitment towards achieving factory targets, including prompt start up times. You need to actively support the ‘lean thinking teams’ and will work with site personnel and commissioning engineers to ensure required process skills training is performed for all new equipment.

Full and appropriate levels of electrical, mechanical certification will be required which is to be supported by practical ability and actions and assessment as and when required in the recruitment process.
