Multimodal Business Development Manager - Newcastle - Freight Forwarding

This niche freight forwarder who have a strong foothold in the Oil & Gas sector are seeking a proven business development manager based in the North East UK to expand their foothold in the North of the UK.

Duties:

• Identify sales targets & secure business opportunities
• Maintain and develop existing customers through regular meetings
• Respond to and follow up on any sales leads in a timely and professional manner
• Working closely with the National sales team to promote and develop the Pentagon brand in the UK
• Develop sales plan and prioritise appropriately to deliver business objectives
• Participate in and contribute to weekly sales meetings
• Deliver effective sales presentations to prospective customers
• Maintain and report all relevant customer information on our CRM system
• Monitor and report on market and competitor activities
• Liaise with Operations personnel to identify customer service issues and address appropriately
• Attend meetings and business seminars as requested by the National UK Sales Manager
• Organise and attend client hospitality events when required
• Meeting and exceeding all KPI’s, including number of weekly sales calls
• Travel within the UK and internationally as required

The ideal candidate would have experience of selling multimodal logistics solutions within the North East of UK.
