My client is a global FM Provider and they have a role for Multi Skilled Shift Tech (electrically bias) for a permanent position . It is a day shift 4 days on and 4 days off .

The Role of the Multi skilled shift Technician:

Able to apply a risk focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/critical environments and General Office environments.

Able to manage cost related to delivery of maintenance activities (specialist and self-perform)

Technical awareness of computer room/call centre/trader operations and experience of power,

UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling etc.

Ensuring all client services, computer rooms, data networks, manufacturing and revenue earning services meet client requirements or appropriate SLAs

Operate to an Asset management plan (one year - 10 year)

Operate dilapidation and update plans relating to critical environments

Operate change control process covering business critical areas

Meet clients SLAs to ensure compliance and performance, covering business continuity

Provide technical management reports as required

Provide emergency response standby, call out

Monitor utilities management and environmental programmes

Support critical environment related technical audits in country/acct sites

Support cost-effective procurement of engineering maintenance services.

Operate within annual engineering budgets for the maintenance and repair of the services.

Operate to forward maintenance plan that track asset condition and projected maintenance costs on a 5 year rolling basis

Responsibility for ensuring all critical related engineering maintenance documentation/records are kept in clearly identified and retrievable systems.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

Qualifications - Higher Diploma level in mec/elec engineering

Minimum of 5 yrs experience in operating data centres/critical environments

Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols

Understand the monitoring of utilities and environmental programmes

Recognised Apprenticeship essential

Be or have been an Authorised Person to a PTW or equivalent

IOSH or equivalent H&S training

HV / LV Authorised Person (prior experience)

Excellent Contract / Supplier Management Skills

Strong People Management

Excellent facilitation, communication skills at all levels

Self motivated, resourceful and pro-active

Confident decision maker

Water hygiene L8

BMS Controls Experience / HVAC Experience

Experience of operation of UPS, Standby Power and Critical Environment Cooling

Evidence of Excellent Customer Service Delivery

Operational experience of managing Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality Systems

PC and MS office skills

Understanding of plc wiring diagrams.

Experience of invertors and working on systems with ELV.
