Aliaxis UK, part of the Aliaxis Group are leading manufacturers of plastic pipe systems for the building and utilities sectors. We are seeking a multi-skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our Extrusion & Injection Moulding teams based in Lenham, Kent.

What the job entails…

Our Shift Maintenance Engineers ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to its optimum performance! Working with a variety of production process machinery i.e. pneumatics, hydraulics, robots and conveyors and on-site services i.e. compressors, chillers and water towers you will be responsible for:

  • Fault diagnosis and repair of both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Identifying root cause and resolving issues
  • Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks as per PPM Schedule
  • Identifying Maintenance spares required and liaising with suppliers
  • Ensuring full compliance with SHE management policy, procedure and systems
  • Providing technical support/input to projects and initiatives

This role operates on an 8 hour rotating shift pattern, including days and nights, Monday to Friday: 6 am to 2.30 pm, 2 pm to 10.30 pm, 10.00 to 6.30 am.

Do you have what it takes?

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer you will need experience in undertaking fault finding, repair and Planned Preventative Maintenance of production machinery within a fast moving/automated manufacturing environment.

There will be a need to take prompt action so your quick thinking and prioritising skills will be required along with your strong communication skills, IT literacy and confidence in decision making.
