Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

12 months initial contract with extension

2 x roles with different shifts available, , 37.5 hours a week plus optional overtime

Pay rate dependent on experience plus 20% or 26% shift allowance dependent on shift

The Company

My client is a successful global innovation company with a vast range of manufactured products across various industries. At this manufacturing site in Loughborough they manufacture a range of pharmaceutical products to GMP standards.

The Job

As a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with electrical bias you will be working with packaging and process equipment for their tablets or inhalation products. You will be responsible for setting up and handling the changeover of equipment, carrying out fault finding, dealing with breakdowns and ensuring maximum operational effectiveness in line with safety, quality and cost requirements.

You will also assist in new process implementation and continuous improvement activities.

About You

To apply for this role you should have transferable skills from previous GMP environment such as food or pharmaceutical. This is a role with electrical bias as a preference and you should demonstrate experience of planned and reactive maintenance on complex Mechanical electro/Mechanical systems and process equipment that includes Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and pneumatic controls.

You should also demonstrate a Formal Engineering Qualification such as Mechanical/ Electrical HNC/ HND NVQ level 3 Engineering apprenticeship as a minimum.
