In partnership with our client, who are an expanding family owned SME manufacturing company who are rapidly becoming an internationally recognised brand within their industry, we are looking for an experienced, electrically biased Maintenance Engineer.

The purpose of the role is to assist the engineering Manager to produce and update a maintenance schedule enabling visibility of planned work and progress. It will be your duty to ensure the planned and reactive maintenance work is conducted safely, efficiently and within budget.

Key Tasks:
Report and address any Health & Safety issues within in the Engineering Department in accordance with the Company’s Regulations and Procedures.
Maintain an optimum level of component parts on site to reduce potential down time whilst protecting company funds
Maintain and uphold engineering qualifications, share best and inventive practice with the engineering department
Carry out company maintenance needs ensuring the machinery, equipment and buildings are efficient, optimising productivity and any work that is carried out is within budget.
Conduct preventative planned maintenance and servicing, recording all findings and with minimum impact on productivity.
Respond to 'out of hours’ call outs and comply with the Engineer Call Out procedure
Be responsible for ensuring the premises are secure at all times
Resolve all emergency/ad-hoc repairs and make a recommendation to prevent a reoccurrence
Conduct all safety critical checks required on site in accordance with relevant legislation and report completion of checks to the Operations manager
Responsible for the calibration of equipment in accordance with legislation and maintenance schedule
Ensure any third party contractors are inducted on site
Weekly fire alarm check and record test results
Weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly Planned Preventative Maintenance to be undertaken, plus any machinery installations and servicing.

Shift pattern:
Week 1 - DAYS (48 Hours, 7.30am to 7.30pm)
Mon / Tue / Sat / Sun = 4 x 12 hour shifts

Week 2 - DAYS (36 Hours)
Wed / Thu / Fri = 3 x 12 hour shifts

Week 3 - NIGHTS (42 Hours, 9.00pm to 7.30am)
Mon / Tue / Wed / Thu = 4 x 10.5 hour shifts

42 Hour average week.
