Are you an experienced multi skilled maintenance engineer looking for a position within an ambitious organisation? Our client is a leading plastic recycling company who are looking to upgrade their site's manufacturing capability in order to effectively grow the business. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain the electrical and control systems, however this individual will also be expected to assist with the mechanical maintenance tasks as and when required. Key Responsibilities • Working as a team and solo on planned maintenance. • To ensure that the electrical and control systems remain operational and available for use as required • Maintain assets in a safe and reliable condition at a frequency set by the site PPM schedule. • Repair assets in a safe and timely fashion. • Install equipment within the current regulations. • Inspect assets for wear and deviations from standard to the site inspection regime Parts of machinery to be maintained include; • Conveyors • Pumps • Fans • Granulators • Shredders • Electrical distribution system • Vertical screw blenders • Extruders, twin and single screw • Vacuum pumps • Injection moulders • Dust extraction equipment • Rotary driers • AC/DC motors • Heaters • Hydraulic power packs The ideal candidate will have the following attributes and experiences; • Multi Skilled engineering apprenticeship with a bias towards electrical and control skills • A strong safety culture • Knowledge of health and safety and environment legislation • Familiarity with IEE wiring regulations BS7671 • Experience of PLC control systems and variable speed drives • Proven experience in a hands on maintenance role and a flexible approach to the work required and the working hours • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude Personal competencies • Pragmatic approach to problem solving – creative innovative thinking • Resourceful and solution focused • Will ensure rules and regulations are enforced and abided by • Good and effective communication skills across all functional areas • Takes responsibility for own actions This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking for a new role on days within a growing organisation.
